To infinity and beyond
We’ve now grown so much, we’re operating out of three locations - and it’s a struggle. So we say goodbye to 106 Front St. and set up camp at 30 Adelaide St. E, bringing the entire Intersect family back together under one roof for the first time in over a year.
No culture shock here
We’re recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone Human Capital, capping off a successful first year for Intersect under the CoreLogic umbrella.
We reach a whole new level of expansion and open a second location as our team gets even bigger. Shortly after, we’re acquired by CoreLogic and change our name to Intersect.
Locking our data down
Since we’re committed to data security, we successfully set out to earn our ISO 27001 certification, so our clients, customers and employees can feel confident their information is safe with us.
We’re officially certified as a Great Place to Work in Canada. And around the same time, we’re honoured with Tech in Motion’s Timmy Award for Best Tech Work Culture. It’s an exciting time for the Intersect team.
BNOTIONS becomes Symbility Intersect
We’re acquired by Symbility Solutions, a Toronto-based insurance provider, and change our name to Symbility Intersect.
Building bikes, building bridges
Just before the Victoria Day long weekend, we pause work to build some bikes for underprivileged children in our community. It’s a huge success, and we keep it up every year - we’re now at 45 and counting.
New digs and new traditions
As our team really begins to grow, we move to 106 Front St. E, which remains our home for the next 8 years. We also start a new tradition to celebrate our employees - the Harthie Awards.
Harth Nite rises
It’s not easy being a startup, so to let off some steam, we start “Harth Nite” - a talent show for the talentless. It’s so much fun that we’re still doing it 10 years later.
BNOTIONS takes off
We open up our very first office at 750 Yonge St. with just 4 employees - a small start, but a promising one.
Community + Collaborators
Intersect is proud to champion a number of incredible organizations in our community. Our approach is simple: connect with others doing important work that makes our company, our people, and our community better. From knowledge exchanges, to sponsorships, to amplifying topic expertise, to diversity and inclusion (and beyond!), Intersect is invested for the long haul.
