If you haven’t heard about HoHoTO, pull up an iceblock and let us fill you in.

HoHoTO is a Holiday party to raise funds for Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank.

In 2008, some friends started talking on Twitter about ways to raise awareness and funds for those that are hungry during the Holidays in Toronto. The concept for HoHoTO grew organically out of these discussions, and was fueled by a shared belief among a group of like-minded people.

The result, that first year, was an extraordinary party attended by more than 600 enthusiastic people from the local tech, media, digital marketing, social media and PR communities.

“Now an annual event, “the party that Twitter built” has raised more than $285,000 and collected around four tons of food for hungry Torontonians to date.” – HoHoTO website
